TAN PREPERATION
How To Prepare Your Skin
Wax / Shave
It is best to Wax and shave your legs 24-48 hours before your tan. Do not wax or shave on the day of your tan as the tanning solution will seep into the fresh pores and can give you spotty results
Attire
Wear loose fitting clothing to your appointment as you do not want to rub your fresh Spray tan off, this allows it to fully dry until you shower. For the ladies it is best to not wear a bra afterwards as this may rub your tan off
Exfoliate
You should exfoliate your body including the hands and feet, 24-48 hours before your tan. Exfoliating removes all of the dead skin cells that are needed for a longer lasting tan, this will also help it fade better as well. To do this it is important that you use an exfoliating mitt and a tan remover if you’ve had a previous tan on
Fresh Skin
Come in fresh! Do not wear any Makeup, Moisturiser or Deodorant to your appointment. These products can create a barrier between your skin and the spray tan
Cover
If it is raining bring an umbrella, you do not want to get your fresh spray tan wet at all as this will ruin your tan and create streaks
AFTER CARE POST TAN
How To Care For Your Tan
Cover
If it is raining please use an umbrella and cover up well. Wear loose fitting clothing after your appointment to ensure your tan can develop properly and not be rubbed off
Develop
After getting your tan allow it to develop for 2-4 hours. Avoid washing your hands and body until the time has passed. You’re tan will continue to develop 24 hours after rinsing
No Sweat
Do not use a spa, sauna or exercise with your new tan while you are waiting for your tan to develop. Perspiration and steam can cause colour discolouration.
Rinse
Once in the shower, rinse well with only water until the water runs clear, Only use your hand, do not use a scrubber or loofah. The tan will continue to develop 24 hours after rinsing
No Chemicals
After your first initial shower to rinse the tan off try using a non-abrasive soap or shower gel so that your tan is not stripped away by the chemicals in your products
Moisturise
Once out of the shower Moisturiser is key! Stay hydrated and moisturised to keep your tan lasting longer, fade evenly and stay looking fresh and golden. Moisturise morning and night for the best results and avoid any moisturisers with oil as this strips the skin and the tan.
